*ولد الشيخ محمد المنشاوى فى عام 1920م بقرية المنشاة التابعة لمحافظة سوهاج ، لقب الشيخ ب(الصوت الباكي - امير القراء -امير القلوب - الشيخ المفسر- الشيخ الخاشع - الشيخ الزئقبى).
أتم حفظ القرآن الكريم وهو في الثامنة من عمره حيث نشأ في أسرة قرآنية عريقة فأبوه هو الشيخ صديق المنشاوي علمه فن قراءة القرآن الكريم وقد أسس أبوه الشيخ الجليل صديق المنشاوي ما يمكننا أن نطلق عليها (المدرسة المنشاوية) , حيث استمد الشيخ محمد من تلك المدرسة الكثير الذي كان سببا في نجاحه بعد صوته الخاشع, وله العديد من التسجيلات في المسجد الأقصى والكويت وسوريا وليبيا.
*وفي عام 1966 أصيب بمرض دوالي المريء ورغم مرضه ظل يقرأ القرآن حتى توفى - رحمة الله عليه - في يوم الجمعة 20 يونيو 1969م.
قالوا عن الشيخ محمد صديق المنشاوى :
• يقول الشيخ أبو إسحاق الحويني : (أنه لم يقرأ القرآن أحدا مثل الشيخ محمد صديق المنشاوي رحمه الله في عذوبة الآداءوفي قوة القواعد )

• محمودالسعدنى قال : شيخ ولد من رحم الخشوع وتربى بين أحضان التضرع والسكينة فأصبح رئيسا لجمهورية الإحساس بلا منافس أومنازع فهو الذى يدق أبواب القلب في خضوع وتواضع ليدخل بسرعة البرق وينشر إحساسه الرائع وخشوعه الرهيب.
Sheik Mohamed Sdeek El Menshawy
Sheik Mohamed El Menshawy was born in 1920 in El Menshah village – Sohag province. He was called " The crying voice – prince of readers – Prince of hearts - - Expositor Sheikh – the focus properly Sheikh – the Tulip Sheikh
When he was 8 years old , he finished memorizing the Holy Quran , as he was grown up in an ancient Quranic family , his father is Sheikh Sdeek El Menshawy who had taught him the art of reading the Holy Quran , and his decent father had set ( The Menshawya school ) , Shikh Mohamed had derived a lot from this school which was the reason for his success after his focus properly voice , he had many recordings in Al – Aqsa mosque , Kuwait , Syria and Libya.
In 1966 he had a disease called esophageal varices, and despite his illness he continued reading The Quran until he died – May Allah forgives him – on Friday 20 June, 1969.
Said about Sheikh Mohamed Sdeek El Menshawy:
• Sheikh Abu Eshak Al Hweiny: No one reads the Qurans like Sheikh Mohamed Sdeek El Menshawy – May Allah forgives him – in the sweetness of performance and the strength of the bases.
• Sheikh Ahmed ben Ali Elagamy: Sheikh El Menshawy is one of the best Quran readers in memorize and tajwed.
• Mahmoud El Sadany: Sheikh was born from the womb of the reverence and grew up between the arms of supplication and tranquility became President of the sense republic without a competitor or undisputed, he beats the heart's doors in submission and humility to enter with lightning speed and spread his wonderful sense and terrible humility.
